Abstract

Osnovni namen diplomskega dela je bil razviti formulacijo hitozana v kombinaciji z medom v različnih masnih razmerjih ene in druge naravne spojine.

Secondary title: Functionalization of cellulose with formulation of chitosan and honey for medical applications
Secondary abstract: The main purpose of this diploma thesis was to develop the formulation of chitosan in combination with honey in different mass proportion of each of the component within separate mixture. Such formulation could serve as a functional coating suitable for wound healing. From the perspective of different formulations used within presented research, it is assumed that different mass fraction of components will affect antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of functionalized substrate, differently. To apply separate formulation onto the viscose substrate, the conventional pad-drying process was selected; however, the study of the effectiveness of the individual treatment was performed systematically, which is also reflected in the systematics of the selected experimental techniques. It is confirmed that properties of functionalized viscose treated with different functionalization formulation differ in dependence of the separate treatment formulation.
