Abstract
Magistrsko delo prikazuje uvajanje in optimizacijo aparature Mastersizer 3000 v podjetju Cinkarna Celje. Aparatura se uporablja za merjenje porazdelitve velikosti delcev. Za analizo in optimizacijo smo uporabili vzorce iz proizvodnje TiO2. Enajst vzorcev je bilo analiziranih v mokrem mediju, dva pa v zračnem toku. Za vsak tip vzorca smo ustvarili SOP datoteko za izvajanje meritev, ter poiskali najboljše pogoje merjenja. Pri meritvah v mokrem mediju smo iskali najprimernejši čas meritve, ter na podlagi analiz izbrali daljši čas merjenja vzorca (20 s ali 30 s), pri meritvah v zračnem toku pa smo iskali najustreznejši tlak in izbrali vmesno vrednost 2 bar. Po kreiranju SOP datoteke in iskanju najboljših pogojev merjenja smo za vse vzorce naredili test ponovljivosti in natančnosti. Na podlagi rezultatov smo ugotovili, da aparatura Mastersizer 3000 daje natančne, točne in ponovljive rezultate. Rezultate meritev na novi aparaturi smo prav tako primerjali z rezultati meritev na stari aparaturi Mastersizer 2000 in ugotovili, da hipoteze o enakosti meritev ne moremo potrditi.

The master`s thesis shows the introduction and optimization of the Mastersizer 3000 apparatus in the Cinkarna Celje company. The apparatus is being used for measuring the particle size distribution. We used samples from the TiO2 manufacturing department for the analysis and optimization. Eleven samples were analyzed in wet media, and two in air flow currents. For each sample type, we have created a SOP file for measurement procedure and looked for optimal measuring conditions. With the wet media measurements, we were looking for the most appropriate measurement time, and, based on the analysis, chose the longer measurement time (20 s or 30 s); with the air flow measurements, we were looking for the most appropriate pressure, and chose the middle value of 2 bar. After creating the SOP file and searching for the best measurement conditions, all the samples were tested again for accuracy and repeatability. The results showed that the Mastersizer 3000 apparatus gives accurate, precise and repeatable results. The results of the measurements on the new apparatus were also compared to the result of the old, Mastersizer 2000, apparatus; we concluded that the hypothesis of measurement equality cannot be confirmed. |
