Abstract

Secondary title: Dynamics of the supply proces for expensive components
Secondary abstract: Supply chains are facing difficulties in the field of production, inventory/stock and consequently the lead times as well. Since the supply is a necessary process for the operation of the chains, the problem of a dynamic supply, which is somehow unpredictable, occurs. All the unpredictability in the dynamic supply of expensive components is made even more difficult by the fact that forms of these components are more demanding and therefore also more expensive. The thesis has been based on creating a model to help us do the simulation of different demands and with different assumptions. In the real world the model, which is rapidly changing assumptions, where assumptions are limited and where there is the occurrence of errors in the process of orders and work is most commonly used. The whip effect is inevitable in these cases and it leads to significant costs due to inaccurate stock. We have found out that accurate information about the production delivery time and restoring parts of stock are very important. On the other side ordering must also be as accurate as possible to make the process work correctly otherwise whip effect can occur very quickly.
