Abstract

Secondary title: Problem solving tasks related to mechanical drives in Slovenian national assessments of knowledge at low-secondary level
Secondary abstract: Thesis deals with the topics related to mechanical drives, with a focus on gear ratios and analyse this subject matter at low-secondary school level. First, the thesis presents and analysis the results of Slovenian national assessments, which focuses on the analyses of the technical facilities, specifically mechanical drivers. The second part of the thesis is based on the didactic aspect of the emergence of technical assets for teaching Design and Technology. A review of the curriculum for the courses Design and Technology, Science and Technology, Robotics in Engineering, Physics and Mathematics figures out, where topics related to mechanical drives are included. Overview of textbook collections presents cross-curricular relations of the Design and Technology course. In the third part of the thesis follows the rank order according to Bloom's taxonomic scale and determining whether a textbook collection with the specified range of tasks cover all levels of taxonomic scales. In the last part of the thesis, we offer a set of tasks that cover all levels of Bloom's taxonomic scales and tasks for verification of technological literacy. At conclusion, the closure findings that we have made with the work is given. Some options for improving the effectiveness of teaching content related to mechanical drivers are quoted, which should require further expert consideration.
