Abstract

Slama in trsje sta bila tisočletja najbolj razširjena materiala za strešne kritine. S prihodom industrije, mobilnosti in zatonom poljedelske dejavnosti v 19. stoletju so začele slamnate strehe izginjati. Obravnavani so štirje kriteriji trajnostne gradnje: ekonomski, okoljski, socialni in zdravstveni. Predstavljeni so trije možni tipi konstrukcijskih sklopov s slamnato kritino: tradicionalna odprta hladna konstrukcija, prezračevana hladna streha in topla streha. Različni tipi so različno občutljivi na kondenzacijo ali požar, zato so predstavljene ustrezne rešitve problemov. Za konkretne primere konstrukcijskih sklopov je opravljena analiza toplotne prehodnosti, difuzije vodne pare, toplotne stabilnosti in površinske temperature. Izvedena je primerjava debeline, teže in cene konstrukcijskih sklopov za različne postavitve toplotne izolacije in požarne zaščite.

Secondary title: Thatched roof - past and present
Secondary abstract: For thousands of years, straw and reed were the most popular materials for roof covering, but with the arrival of industry, mobility and a decrease in arable farming in the 19th century, straw roofs began to disappear. Now they are becoming increasingly popular again, especially in the developed countries of northern Europe. In Slovenia too the first complex buildings covered with straw have started to emerge. The thesis presents the history and construction process of thatched roofing from the growing of appropriate grain to maintenance of thatched roof. Four criteria of sustainable building are in focus: economic, environmental, social, and health criteria. The thesis presents three possible types of structural components with thatched roofing: traditional thatched roof, cold roof, and warm roof. The different types of thatched roofs have different levels of sensitivity to condensation or fire, so solutions to these problems are also presented. For specific examples of structural components the analysis of their thermal transmittance, vapor diffusion, thermal stability, and surface temperature have been conducted. A comparison has been made of the thickness, weight and the price of structural components for various possibilities of placement of thermal insulation and fire barrier.
