Abstract

V diplomskem delu smo predstavili stanje poznavanja varovanja tovora v transportu. Opredelili smo fizikalne lastnosti tovora, varovanje tovora s privezovalnimi pasovi, z vrvmi in verigami.

Secondary title: Knowledge analysis of the cargo safety in transport
Secondary abstract: In this thesis, we presented the state of knowledge about the protection of cargo transport. Lorry drivers in road transport face a variety of techniques and technologies of securing cargo. Many times it is shown that damage to cargo is caused by the negligence of the drivers because they did not secure their cargo properly. Inadequately secured cargo is exposed to damage or hazards to truck driver as well as other traffic participants. To avoid damage to the cargo and the vehicle, lorry drivers have to obtain an initial qualification and attend regular training. As part of regular training, the participants are able to familiarize with Instructions for the safe loading and securing of cargo in road transport, which are annexed in the Rules of loading and fastening of cargo in road transport (Ur. l. RS, numb. 70/11). This thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part we presented subject matter, objectives and hypotheses of the thesis, assumptions, limitations and the methods we predicted to use. Next we move on to the theoretical part, where we presented the techniques and technologies of protection of cargo. We have defined the physical properties of the cargo, securing cargo with tether straps, ropes and chains. We also presented the following techniques of securing cargo: down, diagonally and obliquely. In the last section we presented a survey, which was conducted as part of research and is based on the awareness of drivers with Instructions for the safe loading and securing of cargo in road transport. We presented results and effectiveness of research and suggestions for improvements.
