Abstract

Magistrsko delo predstavlja vpogled v pravno ureditev šolanja na domu in umešča to obliko izobraževanja v formalni izobraževalni sistem Republike Slovenije. Na začetku so predstavljena zakonska določila, ki jih morajo upoštevati starši, ki se odločijo za to obliko izobraževanja, in so vodila za šolo, na katero je otrok vpisan. Nadalje delo ponuja kratek zgodovinski razvoj samega pojava v Združenih državah Amerike, in tako omenja nekatere začetnike in pobudnike, ki so na podlagi lastnih opažanj in predvsem kot kritiko javnemu šolstvu začrtali pot šolanju na domu. Naloga prav tako predstavi zgodovinski razvoj v Sloveniji, ki je časovno gledano precej krajši in tudi zaradi tega precej manj organiziran v glede združevanja v skupine, kakor je praksa (ponekod) drugod. Razlogi, ki privedejo starše do tega, da se odločijo za to obliko osnovnošolskega izobraževanja, so povzeti v šestem poglavju in se nadaljujejo v empiričnem delu magistrskega dela, ki temelji na raziskavi, opravljeni med slovenskimi starši. Tako delo ponuja preplet teorije in dejanskega stanja na tem področju pri nas. Namen magistrskega dela je osvetliti sam pojav, ki z leti statistično narašča tako v svetu kot pri nas ter je v slovenski znanstveni in poljubni literaturi trenutno še manj zastopan.

Secondary title: Homeschooling in Slovenia
Secondary abstract: Master thesis offers an insight into the legal regulation of homeschooling and places this form of education in the formal educational system of the Republic of Slovenia. Initially, statutory provisions are presented that must be abided by parents who choose this form of education and are principles for the schools to which their child is enrolled. Furthermore, this thesis provides a brief historical development of the phenomenon in the United States and mentions few pioneers and initiators who established a way for homeschooling with their observations and mostly a critique of the public educational system. Thesis also presents the historical development in Slovenia which is legally much shorter. The reasons that led parents to choose this form of primary education are summarized in sixth chapter and continue in the empirical part of the thesis based on a research conducted among Slovenian parents. Thus, the thesis offers a combination of theory and actual situation in this field in our country. The purpose of the project is to enlighten the phenomenon itself which has been statistically rising over the years in the world and our country, but is still less represented in Slovenian scientific and popular literature.
