Abstract

Secondary title: Calculation of the carbon footprint for the products by the company Flaška d.d. and suggestions for its reduction
Secondary abstract: This thesis presents the influence of packaging on the environment and the linked topic of carbon footprint using the company Flaška d.d. as the example. The introduction focuses on the greenhouse effect, Kyoto Protocol and the term carbon footprint – what it is and how it is calculated. The second part features an analysis of the carbon footprint for the products Flaška Klasik and Flaška Neo on the basis of acquired theoretical knowledge and acquired data by the company Flaška d.d. Carbon footprint was presented as a whole and according to individual components of the product. As a redesign of the existing system, improvements for the reduction of carbon footprint were proposed and analysed. The conclusion states proposals and possibilities for further research.
