Abstract

Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na področje VPN povezav, ki se uporabljajo za varno povezovanje uporabnikov v lokalna omrežja dislociranih organizacij in za varno deljenje lokalnih omrežij organizacij z drugimi organizacijami. Z namenom ozaveščanja o VPN povezavah so predstavljeni šifrirni algoritmi, ki praktično omogočajo ustvarjanje varnih povezav. Nadalje so predstavljeni tudi protokoli in arhitekture, ki so najpogosteje uporabljene. Za lažje odločanje uporabnikov za uporabo VPN povezav, smo v drugem delu diplomskega dela predstavili prednosti in slabosti, kot tudi praktične možnosti uporabe; od poslovne do komercialne rabe.

Secondary abstract: The thesis focus on the field of the VPN connections, which are used for connecting remote users to the local networks in dislocated organizations in a secure way and for the safe sharing of local networks of organizations with other organizations. With the aim of raising awareness of VPN connections, we presented an encryption algorithm that practically enables the creation of secure connections. Furthermore, as presented by the protocols in architecture, which are commonly used. In the second part of the thesis we presented advantages and the weaknesses as well as practical applications (from business to commercial use) of VPN connections in order to facilitate the decision making of users to use VPN connections.
