Abstract

Podatki so bili zbrani z anketnim vprašalnikom.

Secondary title: Employee satisfaction in Health center Ljubljana Vič
Secondary abstract: In this thesis we presented the importance of employee satisfaction. We wanted to emphasize that despite advanced technology, people remain key to successfully executed work in the health sector. Nurses with their conduct and work create an organizational climate, which is, more than in any other profession, felt also by the patients. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part of the thesis we are acquainted with the organizational climate and employee satisfaction, with dimensions of organizational climate where we focus on mutual cooperation, opportunities for additional education, working conditions and professional development or career growth. We get to know the motivation and factors which influence satisfaction and also measuring, planning, changing and maintaining of the organizational climate and employee satisfaction. We also examine the meaning that the organizational climate and satisfaction have for the successfulness of the organization. In the empirical part we looked into the satisfaction of nurses in the Ljubljana Vič health centre. The data from the nurses was collected through a questionnaire. Based on the analysis of the results we established that the nurses are on average equally satisfied, regardless of the level of education or length of service, and that they are somewhat more satisfied with mutual cooperation and possibilities for additional education, slightly less with the working conditions and the least of all with professional development or career growth. Conclusion of the thesis offers suggestions for improvement of the satisfaction in individual dimensions and with it the general satisfaction which affects the professional performance of the employees and consequently the performance of the organization.
