Abstract

Teoretična izhodišča: Sladkorna bolezen tipa 2 je kronično neozdravljiva bolezen, ki se večinoma pojavi v srednjih letih ali v starostnem obdobju, zaradi nezdravega načina življenja. V prvi vrsti je zato prehrana pomemben dejavnik tveganja za nastanek le te. Pravilno izbrane jedi in prehranjevalne navade pomagajo obvladovati sladkorno bolezen tipa 2. Prav tako je pravilno načrtovana prehrana osnova zdravljenja sladkorne bolezni. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti sladkorno bolezen tipa 2, njeno obvladovanje, zaplete in opisati zdravstveno vzgojno delo medicinske sestre ter ugotoviti kakšne so prehranjevalne navade pri sladkornih bolnikih tipa 2. Raziskovalna metodologija: Za izdelavo teoretičnega diplomskega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela, kjer smo teoretična izhodišča opredelili s pomočjo analize uporabljene domače in tuje literature iz primarnih dokumentov. V okviru raziskave smo uporabili kvantitativno metodo dela. Uporabili smo opisno metodo dela, saj smo podatke zbrali s pomočjo ankete. Anketni vprašalnik je vseboval 24 vprašanj. Pridobljene kvantitativne podatke smo statistično obdelali s pomočjo računalniškega programa Excel, pridobljene rezultate pa smo ponazorili z grafi. Raziskovalni vzorec je vključeval 50 bolnikov s sladkorno boleznijo tipa 2. Rezultati: Iz raziskave smo ugotovili, da so bolniki s sladkorno boleznijo tipa 2 seznanjeni s priporočili zdrave prehrane, vendar načel zdrave prehrane ne upoštevajo vedno, zaradi pomanjkanja časa, uživanja nezdrave hrane ali pa zato, ker jim kuhajo drugi. Anketiranci v večini za kuhanje uporabljajo svinjsko mast, rib ne uživajo pogosto, za sladkanje pa uporabljajo bel sladkor. Več kot polovica anketirancev uživa zajtrk vsak dan, ima 3 – 5 obrokov dnevno ter redno uživa sadje in zelenjavo. Sklep: Sladkorna bolezen tipa 2 je precej razširjena kronično neozdravljiva bolezen. Zato je zelo pomemben zdrav način življenja, ki vključuje normalno telesno težo, redno gibanje in zdravo prehranjevanje, saj le tako lahko preprečimo in obvladamo sladkorno bolezen tipa 2. Zelo pomembno je zdravstveno vzgojno delo medicinske sestre, ki bolnika spodbuja in motivira k samostojnem izobraževanju.

Secondary abstract: Theoretical background: Type 2 diabetes is a chronic incurable disease, which mostly occurs in middle age or in the age bracket, due to unhealthy lifestyles. In the first place, therefore, nutrition is an important risk factor for the occurrence of this disease. Properly selected dishes and eating habits help to control type 2 diabetes. Also properly planned diet is the base of diabetes therapy. Purpose of this diploma work is to present the type 2 diabetes, its management, complications and describe health educational work of nurses and to determine what are eating habits of patients with type 2 diabetes. Research methodology: To produce theoretical diploma work we used the descriptive method, where we have the theoretical foundations identified through the analysis of domestic and foreign literature from primary documents. For research we used a quantitative method of work. We used descriptive method because the data were collected through surveys. The questionnaire contained 24 questions. Derived quantitative data were statistically analyzed using the computer program Excel, the results are illustrated with graphs. The research sample included 50 patients with type 2 diabetes. Results: From the research we found that patients with type 2 diabetes are familiar with the recommendations of a healthy diet, but they don’t always consider principles of a healthy nutrition due to lack of time, the consumption of unhealthy foods or because other cook for them. Interviewees in the majority use lard for cooking, they rarely consume dishes with fish, and to sweeten they use white sugar. More than half of the interviewees have breakfast every day, they have 3-5 meals daily and a regular intake of fruit and vegetables. Conclusion: Type 2 diabetes is quite widespread chronic incurable disease. Therefore, it is very important to have a healthy lifestyle, which includes normal weight, regular exercise and healthy eating, that is also the only way to prevent and control type 2 diabetes. Health educational work of nurses is very important for encourage and motivate patients to their own education.
