Abstract

V pričujočem magistrskem delu se osredotočam na razumevanje vojne groze v desetih izbranih književnih delih. V ta izbor spadajo avtorji z naslednjimi literarnimi deli: Nedeljka Pirjevec: Saga o kovčku (2003), Jože Snoj: Ubijanje kače ali zapoznela sporočila o Gadu (2009), Drago Jančar: To noč sem jo videl (2010), Zdenko Kodrič: Opoldne zaplešejo škornji (2011), Maruša Krese: Da me je strah? (2012), Zorko Simčič: Poslednji deseti bratje (2012), Maja Haderlap: Angel pozabe (2012), Miha Mazzini: Paloma negra (2013), Brina Svit: Slovenski obraz (2014) in Milan Dekleva: Benetke zadnjič (2014). Leposlovna dela so si podobna v abstraktni strukturi, saj zajemajo zgodovinsko snov velikih vojn in kronološko sovpadajo z obdobjem slovenske književnosti po letu 2000. Njihova analiza je pomembna z vidika učinkov vojne groze v literaturi ter njihovo aktualnostjo danes. Omogočen je namreč vpogled v uresničevanje koncepta zgodovine, s katerim se odkrivajo morebitne avtobiografske prvine avtorja v izbranih delih ter njegova etična zavezanost do zgodovine. Slednje je opaziti skozi grajenje značajskih literarnih oseb in njihovo individualno usodo. S pomočjo analitično-sintetičnega prikaza je ugotovljeno razumevanje vojne z vidika literarnih oseb, njihovo spopadanje z njo, način razumevanja in sprejemanja. Skozi različne perspektive in polifonost glasov se tako pokaže še pripovedovalčev odnos do literarnih oseb in njegovo pristajanje na tok zgodovine, ki ukaluplja literarne osebe v izbranih delih. Preko njihovih usod je mogoče zaznati širšo problematiko slovenstva, denimo pripadnost dvojni identiteti ali zgodovinski konflikt med domobranci in partizani. Intimne zgodbe teh literarnih oseb v vsakem delu odkrivajo posledice grozovite vojne, ki zaznamujejo številne generacije. Njihove zgodbe postanejo ključnega pomena, ko se združijo v eno, skupno in odsevajo kolektivno sporočilo, da se je potrebno bojevati za svoje cilje, ne glede na ceno. Na podlagi imanentne interpretacije je v izbranih delih mogoče svobodo v najširšem pomenu prepoznati kot najvišje hierarhično umeščeno vrednoto. Skozi življenjski boj literarnih oseb, ki postanejo "zgodovinski junaki", je opaziti še problematiko razpadanja in spreminjanja osnovnih etičnih načel.

Secondary abstract: This master's thesis focuses on the understanding of the horrors of war in ten selected literary works: Saga o kovčku (2003) by Nedeljka Pirjevec, Ubijanje kače ali zapoznela sporočila o Gadu (2009) by Jože Snoj, To noč sem jo videl (2010) by Drago Jančar, Opoldne zaplešejo škornji (2011) by Zdenko Kodrič, Da me je strah? (2012) by Maruša Krese, Poslednji deseti bratje (2012) by Zorko Simčič, Angel pozabe (2012) by Maja Haderlap, Paloma negra (2013) by Miha Mazzini, Slovenski obraz (2014) by Brina Svit and Benetke zadnjič (2014) by Milan Dekleva. These works are similar in abstract structure, as they contain the historical subject matter of great wars and chronologically coincide with the period of Slovene literature after the year 2000. Their analysis is important considering the effects of horrors of war in literature and their current relevance. It is namely possible to have insight into the realisation of the concept of history, which may show autobiographical elements and the authors' ethical commitment to history in the selected works. The latter is noticed through character development and the individual destinies of the characters. The analysis and synthesis indicate the understanding of war from the viewpoint of characters; how they cope with, understand and accept war. Through various perspectives and polyphony, the narrator's attitude towards the characters is revealed and his/her acceptance of the course of history, which forces the characters into the straightjacket of the situation. Through their destinies, one can sense the issue of the Slovenians, like double identity or the historical conflict between the Slovenian Home Guard and the Partisans. The intimate stories of these characters in each work reveal the consequences of the horrific war, which mark numerous generations. Their stories become crucial when they are joined into one and convey the collective message of fighting for our goals at all costs. Based on immanent interpretation, it is possible to define freedom in its widest sense as the dominant value. The characters of the works become "historical heroes" and through their struggles of life unveil the issue of giving up and changing the basic ethical principles.
