Abstract

V raziskavi je predstavljeno mnenje bodočih slovenskih in finskih učiteljev kemije o njihovem poklicu in njihovo razumevanje vloge submikroskopskih predstavitev pri poučevanju in učenju kemije. Sodelovalo je 19 bodočih učiteljev, študentov magistrskega študija na področju kemijskega izobraževanja v Sloveniji in na Finskem. Večina bodočih učiteljev iz obeh držav meni, da so osebnostne lastnosti najpomembnejša dodana vrednost učitelja kemije, izpostavijo pa tudi pomen učiteljevega navdušenja in uporabe sodobnih učnih pristopov. Bodoči učitelji so predstavili ustrezno razumevanje submikroskopskih predstavitev kemijskih pojmov pri načrtovanju in izvajanju pouka kemije.

Secondary abstract: In presented research Slovenian and Finish prospective chemistry teachers’ perception of their future profession and their understanding of the role of particle representations in learning of chemistry were examined. Altogether 19 prospective teachers, master level students in chemical education, participated in the study. The majority of the prospective teachers from both countries believe that the personal characteristics are most important added value of a good chemistry teacher, they also highly value teacher’s enthusiasm and the use contemporary teaching approaches. Prospective teachers presented adequate understanding of the role of particle representations of chemical concepts while planning and implementation of chemistry lessons.
