Abstract

Diplomsko delo obravnava otrokovo razumevanje izbranih matematičnih pojmov iz geometrije, predštevilskega obdobja, aritmetike in merjenja v predšolskem obdobju. V diplomskem delu sem raziskovala otrokovo znanje, predstave o matematičnih pojmih in vsebinah, ki jih imajo otroci pred vstopom v šolo. Otroci imajo pred vstopom v 1. razred že izoblikovane določene pojme o matematičnih vsebinah. Izoblikovanost posameznega pojma se razlikuje med posamezniki, prav tako lahko opazimo razlike o matematičnih predstavah pri otrocih v predšolskem obdobju. Zanimalo me je, ali se matematične predstave otrok v skupini v vrtcu razlikujejo med posamezniki ali pa so enake. Matematične pojme sem predstavila v teoretičnem delu, v empiričnem pa sem raziskovala predstave otrok o določenih matematičnih pojmih.

Secondary title: Children`s understanding of mathematical concepts
Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis deals with child's understanding of specific mathematical concepts in geometry, pre-numerical period, arithmetics and measuring in preschool period. In the thesis I have explored child's knowledge and ideas of mathematical concepts and mathematics content that are common in preschool children. Before starting first grade children develop certain ideas on mathematics content. Concept formation varies between individuals. Difference in ideas of mathematical concepts has also been noticed. My point of interest was wheather ideas of specific mathematical concepts in a group of kindergaden children vary between individuals or they are the same. Mathematical concepts have been presented in the theoretical part. In empirical part I researched child's mathematical concepts on specific topics.
