Abstract

Secondary title: Integration of preschool children into organized motor activities
Secondary abstract: The bachelor thesis titled Integration of Preschool Children into Organized Motor Activities is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part focuses on the motor development of children, the importance of motor activities for children's health and development, the role of the environment and, in particular, of the family in the integration of preschool children in sports activities, and organized motor activities for preschool children. The empirical part of the thesis contains results of the research based on a closed-type survey. The population sample consists of 94 parents of preschool children attending Poljčane and Pragersko kindergartens. The resulting data were statistically processed and are shown in tables. We wanted to identify factors and reasons affecting the integration of preschool children in organized sports activities. It was discovered that most parents of preschool children exercise several times a week; most parents of preschool children cycle together with their children; parents' sports activities do not influence children's sports activities; most parents integrate their children in organized sports activities in order to enable children to improve their locomotor skills; the integration of preschool children in organized sports activities does not depend on the education levels of parents; parents who were active in a sports club in their childhood integrate their children in organized sports activities more often; more girls than boys attend organized motor activities.
