Abstract

Secondary title: Embedded System for Space-Based Multispectral Infrared Imaging
Secondary abstract: Master’s thesis discusses the development of an embedded system for space-based multispectral infrared imaging, which will function as a camera component and be operable in space. While developing it we have focused on its functionality in the sense that the camera will be suitable for embedment in the already existing modules of the TRISAT project satellite. The embedded system enables us to set the integration time period within nanoseconds as well as the number of consecutive image captures and time intervals between them. It also includes a buffer for six images, where they can be temporarily stored and later transferred to another unit, in our case to a personal computer. Thesis describes individual modules that form the embedded system and the software development for camera settings, image display and communication between circuit board and computer. We have run several tests to check this communication as well as the entire logic behind the embedded system.
