Abstract
Osrednja tema magistrskega dela je primerjava programskih orodij, ki omogočajo izdelavo 3D-upodobitve prostorskih podatkov. V postopek primerjave smo vključili licenčno programsko orodje ArcGIS in štiri prosto dostopna, odprtokodna programska orodja QGIS, ILWIS, gvSIG ter kombinacijo programskega orodja SketchUp in aplikacije Google Zemlja. Primerjava je izvedena na podlagi možnosti in izkušenj pri izdelavi 3D-statične karte izbranega območja v Koprskem primorju, kjer smo se osredotočili na naslednje kriterije: možnosti določitve koordinatnega sistema, možnosti uvoznih in izvoznih oblik podatkov, resničnost končnega izdelka in možnosti naknadnega spreminjanja vsebine. Analizirali smo dodatne možnosti, ki jih ponuja programsko orodje, ter subjektivno ovrednotili uporabniški vmesnik. Na koncu je izdelana tudi preglednica s končnimi ugotovitvami primerjave na podlagi zastavljenih kriterijev, kjer smo ugotovili, da je licenčno programsko orodje ArcGIS najprimernejše za izdelavo 3D-upodobitev izbranih prostorskih podatkov.

Comparison of applications for 3D spatial data visualization |
Secondary abstract: |
Master's thesis presents the comparison of computer software which allows spatial data visualization in 3D. We compared a licensed software package ArcGIS and four, open source software tools QGIS, ILWIS, gvSIG and the combination of software SketchUp and application Google Earth. The comparison was made on the basis of possibilities and gained experiences throughout the process of creating 3D map of the selected area in the region of Koprsko primorje. Furthermore, we focused our attention on the following criteria: the possibility of setting the coordinate system, import and export data possibilities, 3D map reality and the possibility of subsequent alteration of the content. We also analysed additional options which every software offers and evaluated the graphical user interface. In conclusion, the table of the final analyses is made. Based on the used criteria, we recognised the licensed software package ArcGIS as the most suitable for spatial data visualization in 3D. |
