diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študija
Abstract

Effects of undercover work for police officers |
Secondary abstract: |
The area of undercover work and its consequences, described in this graduation assignment, is poorly researched in Slovenia unlike in Western countries, the main reason being a lack of experience in our country. The results from for e.g. the U.S. naturally cannot be used as a comparison in countries as small in population as Slovenia. This assignment covers current Slovenian legislation as well as consequences this kind of job has on police officers involved.
Slovenian legislation, including publicly accessible decrees, do not regulate consequences of undercover work on police officers. Opinions shared by the interviewed professors of Faculty of criminal justice and security matched our own in proving the consequences of working undercover have a great (negative) impact on the officers' lives, both private and professional one. We also agreed with the importance of selection process and proper training in preventing majority of consequences discussed in this assignment. |
