Abstract

Secondary title: The influence of phase change materials in business garments on thermo physiological comfort of man in cold condition
Secondary abstract: The graduate work is dealing with the infulence of phase change materials that had been built into bussiness garments, on the thermo physiological comfort of the wearer in various climatic conditions. In the frame of the graduate work, systematic theoretical and experimental research had been performed on the physiological comfort during wearing of business garments, made of conventional flat textiles, as wool and mixtures with wool and conventional flat textiles in combination with a phase change materials (PCMs). The research had been performed in a computer controlled chamber at artificially created climatic conditions, at different temperatures -5 °C, 0 °C, 5 °C and 10 °C. The impact of particular garment and various climatic conditions on thermal physiological comfort was established experimentally as a change of three physiological parameters of a human being: skin temperature, heart rate and the amount of evaporated and absorbed sweat in clothing, where as the impact of bussiness garments on a subjective perception were determined with the help of evaluating scales in the shape of questionnaires that test persons had filled out before, during and after the research cycle.
