doktorska disertacija
Abstract
V doktorski disertaciji je predlagan postopek načrtovanja in analize trifaznihsinhronskih strojev s trajnimi magneti in aksialnim magnetnim pretokom (SSTMAMP). Uvodoma so predstavljene posamezne izvedbe SSTMAMP z možnostmi in prednostmi njihove uporabe.

Design and analysis of axial-flux permanent synchronous machines |
Secondary abstract: |
This thesis proposes a design and analysis process of a three-phase axial-fluxpermanent magnet synchronous machine (AFPMSM). In the initial chapters, different types of AFPMSM are presented; the possibilities and advantages of their applications are considered. In the early design stages ofthe AFPMSM with a coreless stator, an efficient software tool based on the analytical method for the calculation of magnetic field distribution is used. Owing to the analytical method for the calculation of magnetic field distribution, which is based on the magnetic flux density distribution equation in an explicit form, derived form the constitutive and Maxwellćs equations via magnetic vector potential, some important parts of electromagnetic field theory are proposed. At least two analytical approaches for designing AFPMSMs are significant. In the first approach, the AFPMSM is replaced with several linear permanent magnet synchronous machines (two-dimensional approach). The second approach, which is three-dimensional, is often restricted due to the difficulty of solving three-dimensional formulations of mathematical problems. In this work, the three-dimensional approach adjusting mathematical problem formulation to the solvable form is presented in greater detail. Analytically calculated magnetic field distribution and consecutive characteristics of AFPMSMs are verified with the finite element method (FEM) and, finally, with two prototypes of different sizes. The findings after measurements were performed show the high applicability of the proposed analytical method, especially in the early design stages of AFPMSM. In comparison with FEM, the analytical method is faster and much more flexible. Due to the influence of the outer and inner radii, the analytical method is more accurate for AFPMSMs with higher radius, where the edge effect is less expressive. Moreover, the analytical method is applicable when searching for the most convenient characteristics of the AFPMSM with smaller outer radius, as well. The analytical method is suitable for fast informative calculations and for choosing the appropriate dimensions of the machine parts, permanent magnets (PMs) and winding design. According tothe amount of PMs, AFPMSMs with a coreless stator and a higher radius in general attain better characteristics than those with a smaller radius. |
