Nadzor poslovnih aktivnosti v informacijskih sistemih

Abstract

Na poslovno uspešnost v podjetju vpliva mnogo različnih dogodkov. Za tiste, ki v glavnem vplivajo na poslovno uspešnost ponavadi vemo. Velikokrat pa vplivajo ravno tisti dogodki, za katere tega nismo predvidevali. V pomoč pri analiziranju poslovnih procesov in izboljševanju poslovne uspešnosti so rešitve za nadzor poslovnih aktivnosti (BAM). Diplomsko delo predstavlja delovanje in uporabo BAM rešitev. Opisali smo delovanje nadzornega modela in možnih meritev, ki jih lahko z njim merimo. BAM rešitve pridobivajo podatke s pomočjo spletnih storitev. Zato smo na kratko opisali storitveno usmerjeno arhitekturo SOA, vlogo BAM v SOA in življenjski cikel razvoja nadzornega modela. Pregledali smo pomembnejše BAM rešitve na tržišču. Eno od teh smo tudi uporabili za izdelavo praktičnega primera in sicer IBM Business Monitor. Izdelali smo nadzorni model, za katerega smo definirali metrike, ključne kazalnike uspešnosti (KPI) in ostale meritve. Temu sledi pošiljanje testnih dogodkov, zagon ter testiranje nadzornega modela. Diplomsko delo se zaključi s prikazom delovanja in pregledom rezultatov nadzornega modela na pregledni plošči. V sklepu smo podali ugotovitve nadzora poslovnih aktivnosti glede na nadzorni model.

Secondary abstract:	Business performance of a company is affected by many different events. Those events which mainly affect business performance are usually known. However, it often happens that those events have affect for which we did not predict that. Business processes can be analyzed and business performance can be emproved by means of Business Avtivity Monitoring (BAM) solutions. The present diploma thesis presents the usage of business activity monitoring and its working. We described how monitoring model works and possible measurements we can perform by using it. BAM solutins collect data by the help of Web services. For this reason we shortly described Service Oriented Arhitecture (SOA), the role of BAM in SOA and the development life cycle of monitoring model. We made a review of important BAM solutins on the market. One of them we used to make a practical example, i.e. IBM Business Monitor. We made a monitoring model, for which we defined metrics, key performance indicators (KPI) and other measurements. This is followed by sending of test events, running and testing of the monitoring model. The diploma thesis ends by a review of monitoring model results on dashboard. Results of business activity monitoring are given on the example of monitoring model.
