Odnos uporabnikov do varnosti v računalniških sistemih

Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo najprej opisali sestavo omrežij oziroma interneta, opisali metode napada s strani programske opreme kot tudi socialnega inženiringa, groženj računalniškim sistemom in možne zaščite le teh. S strani slovenske zakonodaje je bilo podanih nekaj vidikov. Za ugotavljanje obstoječega stanja smo izvedli in predstavili anketo o osveščenosti in odnosu uporabnikov glede varnosti računalniških sistemov. Anketa je zajemala 144 uporabnikov. Iz pridobljenih podatkov pa smo potrjevali in zavračali postavljene hipoteze. Skozi študijo smo ugotovili, da se vedno več uporabnikov zaveda ranljivosti in napadov računalniških sistemov, a kljub temu posredujejo podatke za dostop drugi osebi. Čeprav uporabniki v anketi odgovarjajo, da vedo zaščititi računalniški sistem, menimo, da se še vedno premalo zavedajo samega pojma socialnega inženiringa in njegovih posledic.

Secondary abstract:	In this thesis we first described the construction of networks and the internet. Attacking methods used by software and social engineering, possible threats and solutions of security of the computer systems are described. We also presented crucial points of Slovenian law about hacking into computer systems. For assessment of status quo we performed and prepared the results of survey about users awareness of computer systems security. Survey covered 144 users and out of gathered information we confirmed or refused hypotheses. Throughout the study, we found out that more and more users are aware of vulnerabilities and attacks of computer systems, but they still provide information for access to another person. Although users in the survey are answering that they know how to protect a computer system, we believe that they are still not completely aware of the concept of social engineering and its consequences.
