Secondary abstract: | A procedure for analysis of geometrical features of real metal open-cell foams using computer tomography and additional image processing is presented. A method for creation and analysis of a three-dimensional computer foam model is described in which 5735 struts, 2963 windows and 179 cells were detected. When compared with existing results the measurements show that the structure of real metal foam significantly differs from the theoretical equilibrium models and research on liquid foams (soap froth). |
