Abstract

Strela je naravni pojav, ki nas prevzame s svojo veličastnostjo. Pojav strele občudujemo, hkrati pa se je bojimo, saj lahko ima za nas zelo neugodne posledice. Fizikalno ozadje je ta pojav dobil l. 1752 z raziskovanjem Benjamina Franklina. Dve leti kasneje (l. 1754) je bila zgrajena prva naprava z namenom zaščite objekta pred strelo. V diplomskem delu je najprej opisan pojav strele po influenčni teoriji, ki je le ena izmed mnogih. Predstavljeni so tudi pojavi oziroma nevarnosti, ki so posledica pojava strele. V drugem delu diplomskega dela je predstavljeno projektiranje strelovodne instalacije po veljavnih standardih. Ker pa je v praksi poznana tudi izvedba zunanje zaščite pred strelo z izoliranimi vodniki, nas je zanimala možnost uporabe izoliranih kablov za potrebe izoliranega strelovodnega vodnika. V programskem paketu MATLAB/Simulink je sestavljen model, ki omogoča simulacijo udara strele v izoliran kabel. V modelu so uporabljeni generator udarnega tokovnega vala, π-nadomestno vezje enofaznega prenosnega voda in merilni instrumenti. S pomočjo generatorja udarnega tokovnega vala opazujemo velikost padca napetosti vzdolž kabla in na podlagi tega ocenimo ustreznost uporabe posameznega kabla.

Secondary title: Testing possibilities of using insulated cables for the needs of isolated lightning conductor
Secondary abstract: Lightning is natural phenomenon. It is fascinating and scary at the same time, because it can cause a lot of damage. This phenomenon got its physical background in 1752 with Benjamin Franklin´s research. Two years later the first lightning protection was built. In my diploma the lightning phenomenon is described on the basis of influent theory which is only one of many. Other phenomena and dangers, which are caused by lightning strike, are also described. In a second part of my diploma planning of lightning protection systems according with current standard is presented. Since an external lighning protection with specially developed insulated condutors is known in practical use, I wanted to see what the possibilities of using insulated cables for the needs of isolated lightning conductor. In the program package MATLAB/Simulink is an composited model that enables a simulation of a lightning strike in an isulated cable. There is a generator of current stroke wave, π-substitute circuit of single-core cable line and measuring instrument. Using generator of stroke current wave we can observe size of current drop along the cable and based on that, we can estimate if a useage of an individual cable is suitable.
