Vpliv parametrizacije na krivuljo B-zlepkov

Abstract

Cilj diplomske naloge je izdelava računalniške aplikacije, ki uporabniku omogoči izris neperiodičnih krivulj B-zlepkov poljubnega reda z želeno parametrizacijo. S pomočjo aplikacije smo nato preučili, kako se spreminja oblika krivulje glede na različne parametrizacije. Podali smo primere algoritmov za izračun vozliščnih vrednosti z uniformno, tetivno in centripetalno parametrizacijo. Prav tako smo podali algoritem za izračun posameznih točk krivulje. Nato smo izvedli različne preizkuse in prišli do spoznanja, da dajeta tetivna in centripetalna parametrizacija boljše rezultate kot uniformna, saj upoštevata razdaljo med kontrolnimi točkami.

Secondary abstract:	The goal of this thesis is making a computer application that enables user to plot non periodic B-spline curves of arbitrary order with desired parametrization. Using the application we examined curve shape and how it changes regarding different parametrizations. We gave examples of algorithms for calculation of knot values with uniform, chord length and centripetal parametrization. We also considered an algorithm for calculation of curve points. Then we did various experiments and came to the conclusion that chord length and centripetal parametrization give better results than the uniform one because they consider the distance between control points.
