Primerjalna analiza učinkovitosti in uspešnosti skupine Petrol z dvema tujima konkurentoma

Abstract

V diplomski nalogi smo naredili primerjalno analizo uspešnosti in učinkovitosti poslovanja med slovensko energetsko družbo Petrol, avstrijsko energetsko družbo OMV AG ter angleško-nizozemsko energetsko družbo Royal Dutch Shell plc za obdobje petih let (od leta 2006 do leta 2010). S pomočjo podatkov v temeljnih računovodskih izkazih in iz njih izpeljanih kazalnikov smo analizirali premoženjsko-finančni položaj, poslovno in denarno uspešnost podjetij. Ugotavljamo, da je skoraj v vseh primerih boljša družba Shell, čeprav so razlike med nekaterimi kazalniki zelo majhne. V nekaterih primerih pa prihaja tudi do večjih razlik. Vse proučevane družbe so poslovale uspešno, z izjemo skupine Petrol v letu 2008, ko je poslovanje zaključila z negativnim poslovnim izidom oziroma izgubo. V prihodnosti bo poslovanje proučevanih družb v veliki meri odvisno od gospodarskih razmer na trgu, ki so v zadnjih letih precej spreminjajoče. Pri primerjalni analizi smo upoštevali tudi vpliv gospodarske krize na poslovanje le-teh. Ugotavljamo, da ima gospodarska kriza neugoden vpliv na poslovanje energetskih družb, predvsem v letu 2009, saj vpliva na gibanje cene nafte in naftnih derivatov, s tem pa tudi na poslovno uspešnost energetskih družb.

Secondary abstract:	In the diploma work we have made a comparative analysis of the effectiveness and efficiency of the Slovenian energy company Petrol, Austrian energy company OMV AG and Anglo-Dutch energy company Royal Dutch Shell plc for the period of five years (from 2006 to 2010). With some ratios, we have analyzed the balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flow. We have made a conclusion that in almost all cases Shell Company is better than the others, although differences between some of the other indicators are small. In some cases, however, the differences are big. All the studied companies have operated successfully, with the exception of Petrol Group in 2008, where the operation ended with a loss. In the future operations of the studied companies will depend on economic conditions in the market, which have been quite changeable in recent years. In the comparative analysis we have also considered the impact of the economic crisis on them. We have found out that the economic crisis has adversely affected on the operations of energy companies, especially in 2009, because it affects the movement of prices of petroleum and petroleum products and with those also the business successfulness of energy companies.
