Abstract

Diplomsko delo opisuje produkcijo dokumentarnega filma od iskanja ideje do distribucije v kinodvoranah ali na televizijskih ekranih. Bralca vodi skozi postopke produkcije petdesetminutnega dokumentarno igranega filma V iskanju črnega zlata, v katerem je predstavljeno delo rudarjev nekoč in danes. Z diplomskim delom želimo ugotoviti, kateri postopki produkcije filma so najtežji in kakšne napake se lahko pojavijo ter kako jih odpravimo. Primerjava slovenskih dokumentarnih filmov s tujimi omogoča iskanje razlogov za zapostavljenost tovrstnih filmov v Sloveniji. Opredelitev razlogov vodi do cilja diplomskega dela, to je ugotoviti, kakšne so rešitve za izboljšanje položaja slovenskih producentov dokumentarnih filmov ter vnovičnega razmaha slovenske produkcije dokumentarnih filmov.

Secondary abstract:	This thesis describes the production of the documentary film from searching for an idea to the distribution in the cinemas or on television. The reader is guided through the procedures of the production of the fifty-minute documentary film In the Seeking of Black Gold (V iskanju črnega zlata) in which coal mining of past and present is presented. With this thesis we would like to ascertain which procedures of the film production are the most difficult and what mistakes can occur as well as how they can be dismissed. The comparison of Slovenian documentary films with foreign ones enables searching for the reasons of neglecting this kind of films in Slovenia. The definition of reasons leads to the goal of this thesis, that is to state the solutions for the improvement of the position of Slovenian producers of documentary films and once more to give the Slovenian production of documentary films full swing.
