Topologija in kakovost storitev v lokalnih računalniških omrežjih

Abstract

Predmet diplomskega dela je raziskava trenutnega stanja na področju topologije lokalnih računalniških omrežij (ang. Local Area Network – LAN) in navideznim računalniškim omrežjem (Virtual Local Area Network - VLAN) ter zagotavljanjem kakovosti storitev (Quality of Service – QoS) v omrežjih. V praksi se pojavi potreba po ločevanju računalnikov, strežnikov in naprav med seboj. V ta namen jih povezujemo v navidezna lokalna računalniška omrežja. Cilj je predstaviti računalniška omrežja, tako lokalno računalniško omrežje (LAN), kot navidezno računalniško omrežje (VLAN) in ju opisati ter slednjega preskusiti s programskim paketom OPNET, ki se uporablja za modeliranje in simuliranje ter ga implementirati na stikalu proizvajalca Linksys SRW2016. S pomočjo stikala se bomo uspeli naučiti kako ustvarimo navidezno lokalno omrež, ter kako samo omrežje tudi nastavimo. Spoznali smo tudi, da obstaja več vrst VLAN-ov, ki bazirajo na osnovi vrat, naslovov in protokolov. V primerjavi bomo predpostavili, da simulacijsko orodje Opnet uporablja enak model stikala, kot ga bomo uporabili v praksi.

Secondary abstract:	The subject of my diploma thesis is the research of the current state on the field of topology of Local Area Network - LAN and Virtual Local Area Network - VLAN and with the assurance of the Quality of Service – QoS in the area networks. There is a need for separation of computers, servers and devices in practice. For this exact purpose we connect them in virtual area networks. The goal is to present area networks, both local area networks (LAN) and also virtual area network (VLAN), to describe them and to test then latter one with the OPNET program package, which is used for modeling and simulation and to implement it on a Linksys SRW2016 switch. With the switch we managed to learn how to create and calibrate the virtual area network. We have learned that there are different kinds of VLAN and that they are based on the basis of doors, addresses and protocols. In the comparison we will assume that the OPNET tool uses the same model as the switch that we will be using in practice.
