Abstract

V diplomskem delu je opisan sistem za zaznavanje rodovnih interferenčnih vzorcev v plastičnih optičnih vlaknih. Opisana je tudi izgradnja sistema, ki opazuje spremembe v medrodovnem interferenčnem vzorcu in iz teh sprememb prepozna mehanske vplive na optično vlakno. Za izgradnjo tega sistema je bilo potrebno izdelati rodovni filter. Plastična optična vlakna z manjšim premerom imajo manj rodov, zato smo plastično vlakno s premerom 1mm raztegnili in mu s tem premer zmanjšali. V ta namen smo naredili napravo, ki vlakno segreje in ga razteguje do želenega premera. Izdelano nalogo smo testirali kot varnostni sistem, ki nadzoruje prisotnost vsiljivca v prostoru.

Secondary abstract: In this diploma we explained mode far-field interference patterns on the end of plastic optical fibers. We also describe the construction of a system that observes changes in the mode interference pattern and from this changes identifies the mechanical effects on the optical fiber. To build this system, it was necessary to produce mode filter. The standard plastic optical fiber with diameter of 1mm was heated and stretched in order to decrease fiber diameter. For that purpose the computer controlled device was developed. This system was used for development of security system for presence detection in the room.
