Povzetek
Uvod in namen: Namen diplomskega dela je pregledati strokovno in znanstveno literaturo s področja usmerjene telesne vadbe in vpliva le-te na kakovost življenja starejših oseb ter predstaviti vrednost aktivnega življenskega sloga in telesne aktivnosti. Pomembnost vpliva telesne vadbe na funkcijske sposobnosti starejših dokazuje proučena obstoječa strokovna in znanstvena literatura s področja usmerjene telesne vadbe, vpliva vadbe na kakovost življenja, ohranjanja ter izboljševanja gibljivosti, vpliva na ravnotežje, zmanjševanja dejavnikov tveganja za padce, vpliva na kognitivne zmogljivosti. Vse to prispeva k večjemu vključevanju te populacije v družbo in krepi njihovo socialno mrežo. Rezultati: Raziskave kažejo, da je mogoče z ustrezno vadbo bistveno vplivati na gibalne sposobnosti starejših. Telesna vadba vpliva tudi na splošno razpoloženje posameznika, upočasnjuje upad kognitivnih zmogljivosti, preprečuje degenerativne možganske spremembe. Uporabnost: Predstavitev pozitivnih učinkov aktivnega življenskega sloga in telesne aktivnosti je podana po pregledu recenzirane strokovne in znanstvene literature s področja usmerjene telesne vadbe in vpliva vadbe na kakovost življenja starejših.

Introduction and purpose: The main purpose of the graduation thesis is to investigate the influence of exercise on elderly lifestyle and their quality of life. The literature reports about positive relationship between exercises and functional abilities, with the special focus on specific targeted exercise. Exerces improve the quality of life, flexibilty, postural balance and consequently prevents falls. Age related changes have an important impact on functional abilities of the elderly. There is also a growing evidence that exercise and helthy lifestyle, can influence cognitive skills positively and has positive effects on socializing in their daily environment. Methods: The systematic review of literature was conducted in medical bases, primarily in NCBI electronic database (PubMed), references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics. Studies written in English language were researched. The time frame on literature was set on the last 10 years. Results: Systematic review shows the different aspects on succesful ageing and functional efficiency in the elderly. Usability: Acccording to scientific literature it is important to acknowledge healthy lifestyle and introduce exercise in order to improve their healthy living. The scientific proofs can be used in practice for successful treatments of the elderly. |
