diplomsko delo
V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili nalezljive bolezni, protiukrepe in načine obvladovanja bolezni. Predstavili smo tudi soočanje ljudi s situacijo in primere dobrih praks ravnanja nekoč (aviarna influenca, nova gripa) in danes (COVID-19). Nato smo podrobneje predstavili rezultate raziskave, izvedene z anketnim vprašalnikom. S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika smo raziskali razmišljanje in ozaveščenost študentov o upravljanju in obvladovanju omejitve gibanja in karantene.
V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela smo želeli ugotoviti mnenje študentov o problemu ignorance povsem naravne možnosti izbruha nalezljivih bolezni, problemu nepoznavanja pravilnega posredovanja in problemu posledic nepravilnega posredovanja pri izbruhu nalezljivih bolezni.

Governance of restriction of movement and quarantine |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In the thesis we researched the issues associated with the management and control of movement restrictions and quarantine as the main measures for preventing outbreaks of infectious diseases. Anticipation, pre-defined procedures and time are essential elements in a strategic approach aimed at preventing such outbreaks. The theoretical part of the thesis presents infectious diseases and measures that need to be taken to control them, as well as ways of tackling the situation and examples of good practice in the past (Avian influenza, Swine flu) and today (COVID-19). We used a questionnaire to study the students’ way of thinking and knowledge on the subject matter.
The empiric part of the thesis focuses on exploring the students’ views regarding the issues of ignorance linked to the possibility of infectious disease outbreaks, (un)familiarity with proper intervention measures, and the consequences of taking improper measures during outbreaks. The results have shown that the respondents are aware of the possibility of an outbreak and know the importance of timely measures taken by the experts. The results have also shown that a half of the respondents were unable to distinguish between the concepts of ‘isolation’ and ‘quarantine’ and that half of them do not take the measures seriously. IN such extreme circumstances, information regarding the subject matter must be credible and must give the public a sense of security. Furthermore, the respondents stated that there was a lack of information concerning the COVID–19 virus and that they searched for the information about the outbreak by themselves or consulted their friends and media. |
