Povzetek

Prisotnost otroka s posebnimi potrebami (PP) za starše pogosto pomeni soočanje z zahtevami, ki vplivajo na njihovo psihično in telesno zdravje. Skrb za otroka s posebnimi potrebami vpliva na družinsko funkcioniranje, na zadovoljstvo s partnerskim odnosom, posledice vzgoje otroka s posebnimi potrebami pa se kažejo tudi na socialnem in finančnem področju. V magistrskem delu se bomo osredotočili na starše otrok s posebnimi potrebami, pri čemer želimo preučiti psihološko blagostanje, stres in vključenost v šolanje otroka pri starših otrok s posebnimi potrebami ter izraženost le-teh konstruktov primerjati s starši normativnih otrok. Končni vzorec je zajemal 220 udeležencev, od tega 134 staršev otrok s posebnimi potrebami in 86 staršev normativnih otrok. Ugotavljamo, da starši otrok s posebnimi potrebami poročajo o nižjih vrednostih dimenzij psihološkega blagostanja z izjemo avtonomnosti, ki je pri starših otrok s PP višje izražena ter o višji količini stresa in pogostejšem vključevanju v šolanje otroka. Glede na vrsto otrokovega primanjkljaja ne ugotavljamo razlik v psihološkem blagostanju. Vendar ugotavljamo, da samski starši poročajo o višji osebnostni rasti. Kar se tiče doživljanja stresa, le-ta s časom narašča, vendar ta korelacija ni statistično pomembna. Glede na število primanjkljajev pri otroku s posebnimi potrebami ugotavljamo, da komorbidnost več primanjkljajev vodi v višji stres. Glede vključevanja v šolanje otroka ugotavljamo, da se starši mlajših otrok pogosteje vključujejo v šolanje otroka.

Sekundarni povzetek: The presence of children with special needs for parents often means confrontation with demands that affect their mental and physical health. Taking care of a child with special needs affects family functioning and satisfaction with the partner relationship. The consequents of raising a child with special needs are also shown on social and financial areas. In the master's thesis, we will focus on parents of children with special needs, whereby we want to study the psychological well-being, stress and involvement in schooling of parents of children with special needs and compare the expression of these constructs with parents of normative children. The final sample included 220 participants, of which 134 parents of children with special needs and 86 parents of normative children. We note that parents of children with special needs report lower values of the dimensions of psychological well-being, with the exception of autonomy, which is more pronounced in parents of children with PP, as well as higher amount of stress and more frequent involvement in the child's schooling. Depending on the type of child deficit, we do not find differences in psychological well-being. However, we note that single parents report higher personal growth. As for the experience of stress, it increases with time; however, this correlation is not statistically significant. Given the number of deficits of a child with special needs, we note that the comorbidity of multiple deficits leads to higher stress. Regarding the involvement in schooling of a child, we also find that parents of younger children are more often involved in the child's schooling.
