Sekundarni naslov: Housing conditions of young people in Slovenia
Sekundarni povzetek: One of the key points of young people's independence is the first flat or independent living. In the last few years, however, the housing situation of young people has changed. Young people define this situation as a problem that is important to them from a personal point of view. For this reason, we are interested in how young people who live in multi-flat buildings and young people who live in single-flat buildings perceive housing issues. We are also interested in the views of young people regarding the life event that was crucial in the decision to move out of the primary environment. The purpose of the master's thesis is to compare two populations, i.e. young people living in multi-flat accommodation and young people living in single-flat accommodation. The master's thesis is based on a qualitative analysis of focus groups consisting of young people living in Slovenia between the ages of 15 and 29 years. The data was collected using the method of two focus groups. The data analysis was carried out using the content method which was assisted by the software tool QDA Miner. Young people living in multi-flat buildings do not perceive housing issues differently than young people living in single-flat buildings. Regarding the reasons for moving away, both focus groups pointed out that the key factor for moving was the desire to live on their own. However, other reasons, such as a new job, also appeared, which only accelerated this desire. Real estate prices and rents seem too high to young people. For this reason, they often do not decide to move away from their parents.
