magistrsko delo
Ugotovitve naše raziskave in drugih raziskovalcev so bile podobne.

The impact of the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic on the organizational climate and motivation of employees |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Introduction: In such a developed world, people hardly imagined that an outbreak o fan epidemic, let alone a pandemic, could occur. And that the entire world and all of our daily habit scan change and also end. With the arrival of the dangerous SARS-CoV-2 virus, the first line of battle is of course employees in health care institutions, where their daily work has changed to something completely new and unknown. The support of senior staff, management and the entire organization is very important. The organization is responsible for maintaining a good organizational climate and thereby also encouraging people's motivation to work and venture into the unknown.
Purpose: The purpose of the research is to evaluate the opinion of employed medical clinical workers, from the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at the University Medical Center Ljubljana, regarding the organizational climate in the period before and during the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic. And also the evaluation of opinions about the motivation of employees from the side of the management. The fundamental question we asked and which we are most interested in is whether the organization is trying to ensure that the organizational climate and motivation of employees during the epidemic is at a similar level as before the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic.
Methods: A survey was conducted with the help of an online questionnaire (1KA). The survey questionnaire is in the form of a cross-sectional study, which we used quantitative research methodology. Questionnaires were distributed among the employees of the diabetes clinic at the clinical department of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic diseases at University Medical Center Ljubljana. The research took place for 3 months, namely from 30. 6. 2021 to 30. 9. 2021. Out of 24 employees, 17 respondents filled out he survey properly. In the theoretical part, we used a descriptive method of work based on a review of professional literature, scientific articles with the help of Google Scholar, COBISS databases, and we also examined existing foreing literature.
Results: The survey questionnaire gave us answers to all of our research questions. We found out that the level of satisfaction with the organizational climate and the work itself was better before the SARS-CoV-2 virus. We also found out that the level of motivation declined during the epidemic. Respondents answered that they felt that the organization lack of care for maintaining and raising the motivation of employees during the epidemic. Based on the obtained answers to the research questions, two of the hypotheses were confirmed and two were rejected.
Discussion: The answers to the given research questions give us an insight into the state of the organization in the time before and during the outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It gives us answer that during the epidemic, the organization could take better care of maintaining and improving the level of organizational climate and employees motivation. The findings of our research and other researchers were similar to each other. Considering the situation with the virus, which does not subside, but is constantly inconstant, organizations could take care of improving motivation of employees and maintaining an appropriate organizational climate. |
