Delovanje jezuitov v protireformaciji in njihov vpliv na prenovo Cerkve

Povzetek

V diplomskem delu je predstavljeno delovanje jezuitov v njihovem začetnem obdobju, to je od začetka 16. stoletja do ukinitve reda leta 1773. Poudarek naloge je na obdobju reformacije, protireformacije in prenove cerkve, kjer je prikazan pomemben vpliv jezuitov v tistem času. Prostorsko je naloga opredeljena predvsem na notranjeavstrijske dežele, s poudarkom na slovenskem geografskem prostoru. S prihodom protestantov so bile takratne cerkvene razmere močno razburkane. Jezuitski red je bil tisti, ki je poskušal te razburkane vode pomiriti in povrniti ugled katoliški cerkvi. Pomembno vlogo so imeli jezuiti tudi na kulturnem, vzgojno-izobraževalnem in misijonskem področju, kjer so pomembno vplivali na širjenje katoliške vere in izobrazbe. Omeniti velja tudi veliko število pomembnih slovenskih jezuitov, ki so delovali na področju znanosti in kulture ter tako pustili močan pečat v zgodovini in napredku tedanjega časa. Diplomska naloga je povzetek literarnih virov delovanja jezuitov in njihovega vpliva na prenovo cerkve s poudarkom na slovenskih deželah.

Sekundarni povzetek:	The thesis introduces the Jesuits activity from their beginnings in the early 16th century to the abolition of the order in the year 1773. The thesis focuses mostly on the period of Reformation, Counter-Reformation as well as the renovation of church, manifesting an important influence of the Jesuit order at the time. It covers Inner Austria territory with the emphasis on Slovenian geographic space. With the arrival of the Protestants the situation in church had been extremely turbulent. The Jesuits wanted to alleviate the situation and regain the reputation of the Catholic Church. The important role of the Jesuit order, evident in cultural, educational and missionary areas, was its major impact on the expansion of the Catholic Church and education. Worth mentioning is a great number of Slovenian Jesuits, working in the field of science and culture, who influenced the history and the progress of that period. The thesis is a summary of literary works of the Jesuit activity and their influence on the renovation of church with the emphasis on the Slovene Land.
