Sekundarni povzetek: | The gender-sensitive use of language has been the subject of linguistic investigation for many years now. Research in this area has tended to focus on certain fundamental questions, foremost amongst which has been the problematic unmarked status of the masculine gender. This article highlights someof the key issues debated concerning this topic from 1990s on and also presents an overview of the current state of play today, noting certain similarities and differences between Slovene, English and Italian language use. |
