Podatke o pomenu družbenih omrežij in uporabi interaktivnih medijev smo pridobili z vprašalnikom "Interaktivni mediji in družbena omrežja". Podatke o sedečem vedenju smo pridobili z vprašalnikom "Sedeče vedenje" in podatke o športni aktivnosti smo pridobili z vprašalnikom "Gibalna/športna" dejavnost. Za ugotavljanje razlik v telesni samopodobi med skupinami športno različno dejavnih študentk smo uporabili analizo variance (ANOVA) kot tudi Kruskal-Wallis test (KW). S Post-Hoc Scheffe preizkusom in Mann-Whitney U testom smo natančneje opredelili predhodne ugotovljene statistično značilne razlike. Statistično značilne razlike smo ugotovili na ravni tveganja p ≤ 0,05. Rezultati raziskav kažejo, da športno bolj aktivne študentke statistično značilno višje vrednotijo telesno samopodobo v primerjavi s športno manj aktivnimi študentkami. Srednje in bolj športno aktivne študentke se gibalno/športno udejstvujejo predvsem zaradi zdravja in boljšega počutja, kar za skupino manj aktivnih študentk ne velja. Rezultati so pokazali, da srednje športno aktivne študentke pripisujejo mnenju drugih statistično značilno višji pomen pri oblikovanju lastne samopodobe kot drugi dve skupini.

Sekundarni naslov: Physical self-concept and physical activity of female students
Sekundarni povzetek: The purpose of this thesis is to find out what the body image of female students is, and whether it differentiates between the groups of more and less physically active students. It was also possible to research how sedentary behaviour is affecting their physical/sport activity and whether the social media has an impact on their perception of the body image (are the students comparing themselves to others, is social media supportive of physical activity or not). 104 female students from Faculty of Education, University of Maribor participated in the survey. The survey took place in the lecture halls of Faculty of Education. The data on body image was obtained through a French questionnaire about self-image, The Physical Self-Inventory Short Form, which was translated into Slovene. The data on the impact and usage of social media was obtained through the "Interactive and social media" questionnaire. The data on sedentary behaviour and physical activity were obtained through the "Sedentary behaviour" and "Physical activity'' questionnaires. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) as well as the Kruskal-Wallis (KW) test were used to determine differences in body image between groups of differently active female students. The Post-Hoc Scheffe test and the Mann-Whitney U test were used to refine the previously identified statistically significant differences. Statistical differences were found at a risk level of p ≤ 0.05. The results show that more active female students rate their physical self-esteem statistically significantly higher compared to less active female students. Medium and more physically active female students engage in physical activity/sport mainly for health and well-being, which is not the case for the group of less active female students. The results also showed that the middle athletically active students female students attach a statistically significantly higher importance to the opinion of others in shaping their own self-image than the other two groups.
