Povzetek

Kronične rane so velik zdravstveni problem sodobnega časa. Zdravstveni delavci imajo na razpolago različne vrste oblog, ki jih dajejo na rane. Namen zaključnega dela je raziskati učinkovitost uporabe oblog s srebrom, pri celjenju kroničnih ran. Metode: Izvedli smo pregled znanstvene literature z iskanjem v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library in ScienceDirect. Raziskave so razvrščene v nivoje v hierarhiji dokazov. Izbrane vire smo predstavili v PRISMA diagramu. Sinteza je prikazana na opisni način v obliki opisne sintezne tabele. Rezultati: Od 237 identificiranih raziskav, smo analizirali 7 raziskav, katere so pokazale pozitivne učinke srebrnih oblog na celjenje kroničnih ran: zmanjšanje površine rane, zmanjšanje biološke obremenitve rane, izcedka, vonja in bolečine. Obloge je bilo treba manj pogosto menjati, kar je pozitivno vplivalo na stroške celjenja kroničnih ran. Najpomembneje pa je bilo, da so bolniki živeli bolj kakovostno življenje. Razprava in sklep: Z uporabo oblog s srebrom lahko pospešimo celjenje ran in tako hitrejše okrevanje pacientov s kroničnimi ranami. Zaradi varne in učinkovite uporabe pri obvladovanju okužb, se lahko uporabljajo na vseh kroničnih ranah, saj zelo skrajšajo čas celjenja ran, posledično pa zmanjšajo stroške zdravljenja.

Sekundarni povzetek: Chronic wounds are a major health problem of modern times. Healthcare professionals have different types of dressings to apply to wounds. The aim of this thesis is to present the effectiveness of silver dressings in helping chronic wounds heal faster. Methods: For the final thesis, we decided to review the scientific literature by searching PubMed, CINAHL, Cochrane Library and ScienceDirect databases. Studies are ranked by levels in the hierarchy of evidence. The selected sources were presented in a PRISMA diagram. The synthesis is presented in a descriptive manner in the form of a descriptive synthesis table. Results: Of the 237 studies identified, we analysed 7 studies that showed positive effects of silver dressings on chronic wound healing: reduction of wound surface area, reduction of wound bio-burden, oozing, odour and pain. The dressings had to be replaced less frequently, which had a positive impact on the cost of healing chronic wounds. Most importantly, patients lived a better quality of life. Discussion and conclusion: Using silver wound dressings can speed up wound healing, allowing patients with chronic wounds to recover more quickly. Because they are safe and effective in infection control, they can be used on all chronic wounds. Silver dressings have good prospects for the future as they greatly reduce the healing time of wounds and consequently reduce the cost of treatment.
