Zaposlitev športnikov po končani športni karieri

Povzetek

Cilj vrhunskih športnikov, ki tekmujejo na najvišjih ravneh tekmovanj, so v večini čim boljši rezultati. Kljub načrtovanju pošportnega življenja športnikov, pa športno kariero lahko predčasno povzročijo poškodba ali druge težave športnika (zdravstvene, finančne, psihološke itd.). Na podlagi uspešnih rezultatov so nekateri športniki že med športno kariero zaposleni kot poklicni športniki, nekateri žal ne. Vsem pa je skupno, da bodo po koncu športne kariere morali stopiti na trg dela in poiskati zaposlitev. Velikokrat na čas do prve zaposlitve vpliva tudi dokončana stopnja izobrazbe, ki so jo športniki dosegli že med samo športno kariero. Nekateri se zaposlijo na področju športa, saj imajo na tem področju največ izkušenj in kompetenc, nekateri na področju izobraževanja, spet drugi pa najdejo povsem drugačno področje zaposlitve, ki ni povezano niti s športom niti s področjem izobraževanja. Namen magistrskega dela je bil ugotoviti področje zaposlitve, ki jo nekdanji športniki opravljajo danes. Zanimalo nas je, ali gre za področje izobraževanja, iz katerega so se izobraževali že med športno kariero, ali gre za področje športa, ali pa so trenutno zaposleni na povsem drugem področju. Magistrsko delo je sestavljeno iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu smo opisali področja zaključka športne kariere, poklicne kariere športnika, zaposlitev športnikov v Slovenski vojski in področje iskalcev prve zaposlitve. V empiričnem delu magistrskega dela smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika in dovolj velikega vzorca anketirancev odgovarjali na naslednja raziskovalna vprašanja: Kako športniki sprejemajo dejstva o koncu športne kariere in začetku iskanja zaposlitve, kako je izobrazba povezana s trenutno zaposlitvijo nekdanjih športnikov in kateri dejavniki in na kakšen način vplivajo na zaposlitev športnikov po končani športni karieri. V empiričnem delu smo komentirali in grafično prikazali odgovore anketirancev, ki smo jih med seboj primerjali tudi glede na sekundarno in terciarno stopnjo izobraženosti anketirancev. Prišli smo do ugotovitev, da se je večina nekdanjih športnikov že v času športne kariere dovolj dobro zavedala, da bodo po koncu športne kariere morali čim prej stopiti na trg dela in njihovi dohodki ne bodo več odvisni od športnih rezultatov. Ugotovili smo tudi, da je večina nekdanjih športnikov zaposlena na področju, na katerem so se izobraževali in ne na področju športa. Menimo, da bi se morale Športne zveze in Olimpijski komite Slovenije v prihodnje bolj angažirati in pomagati pri iskanju prve zaposlitve vrhunskim športnikom, ki so zaključili športno pot.

Sekundarni povzetek:	Main goal of top athletes, who compete at the highest levels of competitions, is in most cases to achieve the best results as possible. Despite athlete’s planning after the sports career life, the sports career can be prematurely caused by an injury or other problems of the athlete (medical, financial, psychological, etc.). Based on successful sport’s results, some athletes are already employed as professional athletes during their sports career, but unfortunately not all of them. They all have in common that after the end of their sports career, they will have to enter the labor market and look for a job. In many cases, the time until the first job is also influenced by the completed level of their education, which athletes already achieved during their sports career. Some find employment in the sports area, because of their experience and competence, some in the area of education, and others find a completely different area of employment that has nothing to do with sports or education. The purpose of the master's thesis was to determine the area of employment that former athletes perform today. We were interested in whether it is the area of education from which they were already educated during their sports career, whether it is the area of sports, or whether they are currently employed in a completely different area. The master's thesis consists of theoretical and empirical work. In the theoretical part, we described reasons for ending sports career, professional career of an athlete, employment of athletes in the Slovenian Army and the area of first job seekers. In the empirical part of the master's thesis, we answered the following research questions with questionnaire and large enough sample of respondents: How athletes accept facts about the end of their sports career and start looking for their job, how is education related to the current employment of former athletes and what factors affect the employment of athletes at the end of sports career. In the empirical part, we also commented and graphically presented the answers of the respondents, which we also compared with each other according to the secondary and tertiary level of respondent's education. We came to the conclusion that most of the former athletes were already well aware, during their sports career, that after the end of their sports career they will have to enter the labor market as soon as possible and their income will no longer depend on sports results. We also found that the majority of former athletes are employed in the area which they were educated and not in the area of sports. Sports federations and Olympic Committee of Slovenia should become more helpful to top athletes who have completed their sports path and are trying to find their first job.
