| Sekundarni povzetek: | In this thesis, the impact of different expansion valve opening levels on the operation of the vapor-compression system in a heat pump tumble dryer was examined. The results were also compared with the existing system that uses a capillary tube as the throttling element. The results showed that the expansion valve opening significantly affects the pressure ratio and the temperatures of the refrigerant and process air. The best result for the system with the expansion valve was achieved at the smallest valve opening, where the lowest energy consumption and shortest drying time were recorded. However, the existing system with the capillary tube proved to be more energy-efficient. As a consequence of lower energy consumption, the drying time was longer. |
