Povzetek
Namen magistrskega dela je ugotoviti, ali obstaja povezava med rezultati SLOfit testne baterije in učnim uspehom učencev glede na razred in spol. Vzorec raziskave je sestavljalo 249 učencev podravskih osnovnih šol, natančneje 105 učencev 4. (62 deklic in 43 fantov), 75 učencev 5. (35 deklic in 40 fantov) in 69 učencev 6. razreda (35 deklic in 34 fantov). V raziskavi so uporabljene kvantitativna obdelava podatkov, deskriptivna in komparativna metoda raziskovanja ter multivariantna analiza – metoda enosmerne analize variance. Med raziskavo smo ugotovili, da so učno zelo uspešni dečki 4. razreda pri matematiki statistično značilno uspešnejši na testu premagovanja ovir nazaj kot učno manj in srednje uspešni vrstniki. Podobno smo ugotovili tudi za dečke 4. razreda in deklice 6. razreda pri predklonu na klopci ter za dečke in deklice 4. razreda pri teku na 600 m. Čeprav številne raziskave kažejo, da je raven telesnega fitnesa pri učno uspešnejših učencih višja kot pri učno manj uspešnih vrstnikih, pa ugotovitve pričujoče raziskave ne ponujajo tako enoznačnih odgovorov. To je deloma mogoče pripisati dejstvu, da so primerjane skupine zelo neuravnotežene po velikosti. Prav tako bi lahko učno uspešnost opredeliti na osnovi različnih kriterijev, ne le z zaključno oceno pri matematiki.

The connection of educational achievement and slofit test battery results in students of the second educational cycle of the basic school |

The aim of this master's thesis is to examine the relationship between SLOfit test battery results and students' academic performance, with respect to grade level and gender. The research sample included 249 pupils from primary schools in the Podravje region: specifically, 105 fourth-grade pupils (62 girls and 43 boys), 75 fifth-grade pupils (35 girls and 40 boys), and 69 sixth-grade pupils (35 girls and 34 boys). Quantitative methods were used in the study, including descriptive and comparative approaches, as well as multivariate analysis through a one-way ANOVA. The research showed that fourth-grade boys, academically highly successful in mathematics, performed significantly better in the backwards obstacle course test than their less and moderately successful peers. Comparable results were found in the bench reach test for fourth-grade boys and sixth-grade girls, and in the 600-meter run for both boys and girls in the fourth grade. Although numerous studies suggest that students with higher academic achievement generally exhibit better physical fitness than their less successful peers, the results of this study do not present such definitive conclusions. This may partly be due to the fact that the compared groups were very unbalanced in size. Furthermore, academic achievement could be defined using different criteria, not just based on the final grade in mathematics. |
