Sekundarni povzetek:	Due to their relatively wide area of knowledge acquired during their studies, social pedagogues find work in different fields. Their area of work mostly consists of schools, where they work in counselling service or as additional special education teachers, and juvenile institutions and youth homes, where they work as teachers in educational groups. In the last years more and more social pedagogues are also being employed in private non-profit volunteer organisations, where they mainly work in the field of social care and in personnel, where they are responsible for human resources management. The main aim of this diploma paper is the analysis of different forms of social pedagogic services in the Bela krajina region. Different social pedagogic fields of work in Bela krajina are presented with the help of non-standardised half-structured interviews, carried out in May 2011 with a headmaster, who by profession is a social pedagogue, an educator in a youth home and a president of the youth home's institution council. The results show that three social pedagogues are currently employed in Bela krajina, all in the field of elementary education. Slowly yet persistently, we are making our way towards greater recognisability. There is enough leeway and enough needs to work in this field, all we need is will.

Povzetek (ePrints):	Socialni pedagogi se zaradi svojega precej širokega področja znanja, ki ga pridobijo tekom študija, zaposlujejo na različnih področjih. Največkrat njihova področja dela predstavljajo šole, kjer se zaposlujejo znotraj šolske svetovalne službe ali kot učitelji dodatne strokovne pomoči, ter vzgojni zavodi in dijaški domovi, kjer se zaposlujejo kot vzgojitelji v vzgojnih skupinah. V zadnjih letih se vse več socialnih pedagogov zaposluje tudi v zasebnih neprofitnih volonterskih organizacijah, kjer delujejo predvsem na področju socialnega varstva, in v kadrovskih službah, kjer skrbijo za upravljanje s človeškimi viri. Glavni namen diplomskega dela je bil analizirati različne oblike socialno pedagoškega delovanja v Beli krajini. S pomočjo v mesecu maju 2011 izvedenih nestandardiziranih delno strukturiranih intervjujev ravnateljice, ki je po profesiji socialna pedagoginja, vzgojitelja v dijaškem domu in pa predsednika sveta zavoda mladinskega centra so tako predstavljena različna socialno pedagoška področja delovanja v Beli krajini. Pregled trenutnega stanja pokaže, da so v Beli krajini zaposlene tri socialne pedagoginje, vse na področju osnovnošolskega izobraževanja. Počasi, a vztrajno, si utiramo pot k večji prepoznavnosti. Manevrskega prostora za delovanje je še veliko, prav tako potreb, potrebna je le volja.
