Sekundarni naslov: Hiking and mountaineering in extended stay
Sekundarni povzetek: Due to the fact that nowadays parents are mostly employed almost all children from the first to the third grade of primary school are included in extended stay. Working in a section of the extended stay should be guided by a dynamic and variable programme. We find that children are not included in sports. Teachers of the extended stay can increase the amount of movement with activities that should be the movement based; it is desirable that they are diversified. One of the movement based activities can also be hiking, since almost any additional equipment is not needed. Through the centuries mountaineering has become a part of our nation’s identity and is also present in the curriculum for primary school. The vast majority of us will sooner or later go to the mountains and this is why it is never too early to start teaching children about it. Taking these facts into consideration I have prepared a model that includes hiking and mountaineering in the extended stay and implemented pupils from the first to the third grade. The response of children and their parents was extremely positive because the children enjoy learning something new and like to explore.
