At the end of 2002 National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia adopted two “spatial” laws: The law of spatial planning (ZUreP1) and The building code (ZGO1). Both laws were empowered the force in 2003 and, together with some other laws, enact the measure of sustainable spatial development. Additionally the implementation of The Spatial Development Strategy of Slovenia in 2004 serves as a baseline for the preparation of all spatial planning documents on national, regional and local level. In accordance with the adoption of new spatial legislation, municipals are obliged to prepare new spatial planning documents (The municipality Spatial Development The Spatial Development Strategy of Slovenia. An important element of these documents is the balance sheet of landuse. The graduation thesis presents the importance of the balance sheet of landuse in spatial planning documents and in the context of spatial planning. The author analyzed the actual state of landuse in the town of Ajdovščina and in few other settlements within the municipal city of Ajdovščina, based on urban design, drawn by my supervisor professor doctor Andrej Pogačnik. The author identified significant numerical urban indicators, which describe the landuse. Within the settlements studied we measured the surfaces of dedicated types of landuse. The urban indicators were derived from landuse surfaces and statistical data about the population in the settlement. The ratios of the dedicated landuse per inhabitant were calculated, the density of population, the density of housing, the density of employment, the building index and the floor space index were derived as well. Furthermore the number of new inhabitants and vacancies within the settlement on empty surfaces predicted were calculated. The balance sheet of landuse, produced in work, combines several spatial indicators, which describe the existing spatial the condition. Thoughtfully selected indicators can enhance the quality of settlement. The results are presented as graphs and tables. |
