Sekundarni naslov: Guided visualization as stimulation for dance expression
Sekundarni povzetek: In my diploma paper I focussed on a problem that can occur in every town, in every kindergarten, in every group of children – a problem of a lack of relaxation, relaxation games and creative movement. In the theoretical part I described stress and its influence on a child. If we want to recognise stress and respond to it we have to know its behavioural, physical and emotional signs and symptoms. The best way is trying to avoid stress and thus lessen the number of stressful situations and consequently unburden the body. This is why it is important for teachers to know the most common causes of stress among children. It is not enough to know that a child is under stress if we cannot help him. For this reason I also wrote about relaxation and calming in one of the chapters. Due to the fast tempo of life relaxation became very important, even for children. I described the relaxation techniques that are appropriate to be used in kindergartens. The relaxation has positive effects on all areas of child’s development. For this reason I also focussed on the creative movement, which combines relaxation activity, creativity, imagination and movement. I described the importance of the creative movement for a child’s development and the positive impacts of this method. In the empirical part I combined one of the relaxation techniques, the guided visualisation, and the creative movement, at the suggestion of my mentor, doc. Gordana Schmidt. I used the guided visualisation as a relaxation technique and at the same time as a method that stimulates children’s dance expression and contributes to greater creativity. The results were positive. The children were relaxed, creative and pleased. I found that children in kindergarten need relaxation, that their imagination is unlimited, that the guided visualisation is a good stimulation for dance expression and that relaxed children are creative, willing to cooperate and not aggressive.

Opisujem pomen ustvarjalnega giba za otrokov razvoj in navajam pozitivne učinke metode ustvarjalnega giba. V empiričnem delu sem po sugestiji mentorice doc. Gordane Schmidt eno izmed sprostitvenih tehnik, tj. vodeno vizualizacijo, združila z ustvarjalnim gibom. Rezultati so bili pozitivni. Otroci so bili sproščeni, ustvarjalni in zadovoljni.
