The main intention of this study is to measure and analyse troughfall precipitation and stemflow. Most of the similar studies take interest in measurments only in high and low growing seasons, but this one concerns with the entire growing season, namely for the period 2004 to 2006, which makes it in some way unique. Measurments of trougfall and stemflow were taking place on research plot of Chair of Hydraulic Engineering on Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering on Hajdrihova 28 in Ljubljana, namely on birch and pine stands. Troughfall was measured with steel gutters and manual gauges, which were used as a comparison and supervision of results. Two steel gutters and two manual gauges were located on each stand. Trougfall was measured automaticly with digital recording on every 10 minutes and manually for checking reasons. A rubber collar was fitted around the stem to measure stemflow, data was taken manually. Precipitation were measured on open space with tipping bucket rain gauge and with totalisator for comparison. The results of studies for individual tree types were compared to each other and to other similar studies. We measured 57 – 70 % of troughfall on birch stand and 34 – 49 % on pine stand, which is comparable to other similar studies. In the matter of stemflow we measured 1,9 – 6,8 % of associated precipitation for birch and 0,005 – 0,073 % for pine, which is also comparable to other studies. |
