Sekundarni naslov: Pre-school children’s injuries in locomotor activities in the kindergarden Ajdovščina
Sekundarni povzetek: The purpose of this thesis was to analyse the opinion of experts working in the second age period in the kindergarten Ajdovščina, the frequency of injuries present at locomotor activities and the opinion about their competence of how to attend to an injured child. For the purpose of the research, we have conducted a questionnaire in two parts. Based on the results, we have analysed the frequency of the injuries in locomotor activities and different ways of kindergarten teachers attending to the injuries. 31 pedagogical workers, working in the second age period in the kindergarten Ajdovščina, participated in the survey. Collected data was processed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) – 15.0 for Windows. For calculating frequencies of particular questions, the application FREQUENCIES was used as a subprogram. The analysis has shown that in the last year, out of 614 children involved in the research, 481 children (78,3 %) were injured, out of which 97,5 % suffered minor injuries (scratches and bruises) and 2,3% of children have sustained serious injuries. 90,3% of the kindergarten teachers considered that significantly more boys get hurt and that the most injuries happen during free games (96, 8%), namely in the outdoor playgrounds (93, 5%), while indoor they appeared mostly in the playroom (77,4 %). Kindergarten teachers had no problems treating minor injuries, while with serious injuries, less than half of them would not have been handed correctly. 49 % of surveyed would do well when attending to heavy bleeding, 32,3 % when attending to unconsciousness and only 25,8 %, when attending to fractures. In the last year, the report of the accident was written only in 6,4 % of all the injuries.
