We are more and more aware of our suppressed feelings, which we are trying to hide in a dark nook of our subconscious. But these repressed emotions seek a way of coming to the surface in numerous unpredictable ways and situations. This is the reason I decided to write about one of the ways to express these feelings, surrender to them and release from them in my diploma paper.
The theoretical part is divided into four parts. In the first part I focused on movement. I described the classifications and the types of movement that were observed with children’s movement expression described in the empirical part. I laid stress on elements and factors of movement, which I also observed in children’s creative expression. Furthermore I explained the difference between movement and dance and defined movement in learning. Creativity, its development and levels are described in the second part. Here I also wrote about the principles of “creative education”, which are important for kindergarten teachers when working with children, and the creative movement. In the third part I wrote about dance, dancing ability and dance education. I placed the greatest emphasis on dance education, enumerating its characteristics, goals and functions, describing the educational principles and working methods and writing about educating through dance. The last part is about didactic cards. I enumerated many purposes these cards are used for and described three of them that I focused on in the empirical part. I also wrote about the research on the usefulness of didactic cards in kindergartens. |
