Slovenia is acceleratingly building its highway network. Because of the varied relief and some other factors, many kilometres of tunnels were and will be built. Tunnels are built according to a modern method of tunnel construction, named the New Austrian tunnelling method. Its integral part is the lining adaptation on the basis of the interpretation of the 3D displacements, measured in the tunnel primary support. In the beginning of the diploma work the New Austrian tunnelling method is presented together with the demands concerning instrumentation needed for the defined task. These are followed by a detailed discussion about the possibilities of defining the instrument's standing position, which is the starting point for defining the coordinates of control points on the tunnel arch, which are then used to meassure displacements of points. In the context of the method which includes redundant measurements, the accuracy evaluation of the instrument's standing position definition will also be given. |
