Sekundarni povzetek:	Dissertation presents the historical development of Šentvid pri Stični, famous persons that are associated with the place and the development of primary education in Šentvid pri Stični and primary school Ferdo Vesel. In the 6 century, the area Veit arrived Slovenes, who worshiped the god of light Svetovit. Before 1000 were pokritjanili Šentvid and is named after the saint St. Veit, whose worship was brought missionaries. The first record of the place Šentvid dates back to 1132 when the patriarch Šentvid donated to the newly established monastery in Stična. School in Šentvid pri Stični is one of the oldest in Slovenia, it was founded already in 1784, when in the curate began operating trivialka. Later the school was in the building where the mail is today, in 1966, the Šentvid got a new school where education takes place today. To date the school was renovated and upgraded, a few years ago the school was gotten a modern sports hall. Dissertation contains didactic part, introducing the lesson plan, which was conducted with pupils in 5th grade of primary school Ferdo Vesel and analysis of the hour. Didactic part followed the empirical part, which is associated with a knowledge of the history of Šentvid and school of pupils in 4th and 5th grade. Respondents were 76 students of 4th and 5th grade of primary school Ferdo Vesel.

Povzetek (ePrints):	Diplomsko delo predstavlja zgodovinski razvoj Šentvida pri Stični, znane osebnosti, ki so povezane s krajem ter razvoj osnovnega šolstva v Šentvidu pri Stični in Osnovno šolo Ferda Vesela danes. V 6. stoletju so se na območje Šentvida priselili Slovani, ki so častili boga svetlobe Svetovita. Pred letom 1000 so se pokritjanili in Šentvid je dobil ime po svetniku sv. Vidu, katerega čaščenje so prinesli misijonarji. Prvi zapis o kraju Šentvid sega v leto 1132, ko je oglejski patriarh Šentvid podaril novoustanovljenemu samostanu v Stični. Šola v Šentvidu pri Stični je ena starejših v Sloveniji, saj je bila ustanovljena že leta 1784, ko je v kaplaniji začela delovati trivialka. Kasneje je bila šola v stavbi, kjer je danes pošta, leta 1966 pa je Šentvid dobil novo šolo, v kateri pouk poteka še danes. Do danes so šolo obnavljali in dograjevali, pred leti pa je dobila tudi moderno športno dvorano. Diplomsko delo vsebuje še didaktični del, v katerem je predstavljena učna priprava, ki smo jo izvedli z učenci 5. razreda Osnovne šole Ferda Vesela in analiza ure. Didaktičnemu delu sledi empirični del, ki je povezan s poznavanjem zgodovine Šentvida in šole, učencev 4. in 5. razreda. Anketiranih je bilo 76 učencev 4. in 5. razreda Osnovne šole Ferda Vesela.
